The Chiemgau region is above all well known beyond Bavaria's borders for its winter sports centre. Biathletes meet on the world cup routes in Ruhpolding, and the ice skating stadium in Inzell is a Mecca for German ice skaters. But skiers and snowboarders also come to the Bavarian mountains for the pleasure of racing down magnificent pistes. The nearby skiing areas of Reit im Winkl and Kössen/Tirol (approx. 25 km) promise limitless skiing- and snowboarding pleasure. Numerous excellently prepared pistes form the basis for a successful leisure experience. Modern cableways, lifts and snow-making facilities create the best conditions.

The snow-covered mountain landscape, wide surface of the Chiemsee and the ice magically turn the region into a winter wonderland.
